I am so glad I was able to make it by to catch the show. You sounded FABULOUS!! It was beautiful to see the smiles on the faces of your audience and I was filled with so much pride knowing that I can say I'm part of PCS.

Southbrook Retirement Residence Concert

Friday June 23, 2017 - 730 pm.

This concert is a celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday – our diverse regions and music, and our common values, commitments and contributions to the world.

There are many reasons, including our musical heritage, to celebrate this country. One of the most important is the aspiration to build an equitable society; it was a Canadian who drafted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and our city is one of the most multicultural in the world. Canadians value the unity we’ve een able to foster amid such diversity, and have continually strived to value the rights and dignity of all.

We recognize the history of Canada goes beyond 150 years. In recent years, our dedication to equality has included a deepened dialogue with the indigenous peoples of 'This Land of Ours'.

May we live in respect and peace, forging together a just and equitable future for all who call Canada home.
